The Importance of Omega-3s for Your Health

In a busy day filled with quick meals and computer screens, sometimes we miss out on the nutrients our body needs. One thing we often lack is Omega-3 fatty acids. Omega-3s have a profoundly positive effect on cognition, mood, circulation and inflammation. Our bodies can’t create Omega-3s, but it is easy to consume them from eating the right foods.

That’s why Baby Brain Organics contains flax, chia and hemp seeds; these are three of the best ways to get Omega-3s into your diet. The benefits for both mothers and children are clear. According to research, when pregnant women consumed a diet rich in Omega-3s, their children show advanced attention spans well into their second year of life, and have a two-month cognitive head start over their peers at the young age of 6 months. Although the exact science has not been pinpointed, it is shown that DHA, a key component of Omega-3s, is vital for many important brain functions such as neurotransmission and grey matter creation.

In addition to its effects on development, Omega-3 consumption has been linked to positive health in many different parts of the body. Omega-3s are linked to positive effects on mood, improving inflammation-related conditions such as arthritis, and reducing stroke risk, increasing blood circulation and reducing blood triglyceride levels.

Omega-3 fatty acids are an essential part of the human diet that is often neglected in our day of processed foods and quick eats. With the addition of a single sprinkle of Baby Brain Organics to your everyday food, you can get all the health benefits of Omega-3s as well as all the other nutrients in our special blend of quinoa, chia seed, hemp seed and flax seed. Happy eating!

Quick and Dirty Antiviral

Sofa King Next Level

ingredientsI’ve been sick for literally two weeks, and it’s mostly my own fault. I broke the golden rule about being sick, which is to stay home and rest. Instead I hosted huge dinner parties, went to drunken costume benders, partied in Aspen for 5 nights, flew internationally for work and internationally for a wedding. All in two weeks. So obviously I am not recovering, and it’s a miracle that I don’t have something worse. On top of all that, I have probably spread my viral infection across the globe. But enough about me.

Do you feel achy? Shivering? Alternating with sweating? Runny nose? Congested? Exhausted? Headache? Angry? Depressed? Coughing? Ticklish or burning throat? You have a viral infection!

There is a very, very small chance that you have a bacterial infection unless you ate a five-day old lobster salad which travelled to many hot sunny picnics…
